Framing The Shot shows an unexploded bomb
in the middle of a desert landscape surrounded by trees. The trees are
easier to see when it is shown in 3-D. Photography is the subject once
again, a familiar rule being that one should always "frame a shot"
with tree branches. Some photographers even carry a branch with them to
drape over the corner of an image. The image pokes fun at this - "trees
were shifted around the landscape to frame the composition" - here
the bomb did all the shifting of the trees; the image also refers to famous
incidences of manipulated war photographs throughout the history of photography,
where victims, weapons etc were moved to make for a better and more dramatically
composed photograph.
